Overview (resum en anglès):
In the Telecommunication Industry - Mobile Communications Sector, this master's thesis provides a practical inclusive framework for managing telecom infrastructure projects and offering worthy lessons for Project Managers (PMs). To do so, we are presenting the practical telecom project, which is the execution of telecom infrastructure of the modernization project involving the swap of the Radio Access Network (RAN) across 60 sites from Ericsson to more advanced Huawei technology as the case study, which closely mirrors real-world scenarios. This thesis is built in the environment drawing on information and data from real cases.

For this thesis, 'TelecomCo' Operator and 'TechCom' Telecom Subcontractor are not real names. TechCom executes the modernization project, is responsible for deploying Huawei infrastructure, and is committed to the main objective, which is handing over the modernization project by the end of Q4 2024. TechCom hired me (Abdulkareem Baloyan) as the PM on this project.

This thesis displays a worthy real study of the PMs. To perform this, I will utilize a body of knowledge, tools, and techniques to manage this project professionally. Thus, this master thesis presents the role of the PM, which is centered on overseeing the entire project lifecycle and applying the body of knowledge, which is the management processes outlined in A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide) sixth edition issued by the Project Management Institute, by aligning the modernization project implementation with the principles of (PMBOK® Guide), ensuring the project meets both technical and business objectives.

On the other hand, as the PM, I have to apply successful tools and techniques that will be utilized to manage the project effectively, such as MS Project Professional for the planning phase and Microsoft Office Library during the execution, monitoring, and control phases. Work performance reports and documents will also be continuously updated during project stages.
