| El proyecto recoge los nuevos requerimientos de utilización de la plataforma de aviación corporativa del Aeropuerto de Barcelona debido a la construcción del primer hangar situado junto a la terminal corporativa. En consecuencia se hace necesario proveer de acceso a las aeronaves a esa parcela y a las otras dos contiguas, también reservadas para idéntico cometido. Esto
provoca la reconfiguración general de la plataforma de estacionamiento de aviación corporativa, la apertura de una nueva puerta entre la plataforma y la calle de rodadura U-3, la adecuación de la actual puerta GATE BN y diversas actuaciones en los puntos de espera intermedios y la señalización horizontal y vertical asociadas en el área de maniobras. |

| This project represents a real, planned and drafted work at Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat Airport, thus offering a unique opportunity to follow the entire process of modifying an existing infrastructure from the very moment its need was defined.
This need arose from the interest of a private operator in having a maintenance hangar for a Bombardier Global 7500 aircraft. Although the Barcelona Airport Master Plan includes reserved spaces for the construction of this type of infrastructure on the plots located east of the Corporate Terminal, there were certain shortcomings that had to be addressed before the hangar could be put into service, and construction work is now about to begin. The most significant action was identified as the need to increase the load-bearing capacity of the service road located north of ramp 0, the aircraft parking apron dedicated to business aviation and situated near the threshold of runway 20. The presentproject is the most substantial investment in this area in many years and, therefore, allowed for a complete redesign, including the construction of a new taxiway from the existing GATE BN to the new GATE AN, which takes its name from the current access to ramp 30, opposite the Iberia hangar. The opportunity was also taken to install LED centerline lighting. Finally, all of the above has resulted in a complete reconfiguration of the available aircraft parking area, not only in terms of the number of positions but, above all, their size, in accordance with the current fleet composition for this market segment. At the same time, a part of another file, dedicated to the adaptation of the lighting on ramps 0 and 1, was separated in order to start the work on both projects at the same time and their execution in parallel with the objective of remedying certain deficiencies whose correction is committed to the Spanish Aviation Safety Agency. |
