| Chaos descriptors serve as powerful tools for identifying attracting and repelling structures, akin to the stable and unstable invariant manifolds found in Hamiltonian systems. Although highly popular in fluid dynamics for characterizing non-autonomous flows, their potential in galactic dynamics remains an active area of exploration. This project proposes to evaluate the performance and suitability of different chaos descriptors when applied to numerical simulations of galaxy evolution. | |
