Overview (resum en anglès): This work analyzes the territorial structure of the Baix Camp region through the study of its historical network of paths. The territory is interpreted as a construction shaped by different elements - paths, agricultural land plots, seasonal streams (rieres), and relief - which, over time, have configured a coherent and recognizable territorial structure.

The study starts from the hypothesis that the city of Reus has historically acted as the center of a radial network of paths connecting the different settlements of the Baix Camp, particularly toward the mountain areas and the coast. This radial pattern is not the result of formal planning but the logical response to specific geographical, economic, and social conditions: Reus's strategic position on the plain, its role as the major commercial hub of the Camp de Tarragona, and the need to connect agricultural production areas with the distribution node.

Through cartographic analysis, the reading of the relief, and the identification of the main historical routes, the work seeks to understand the territorial logics that determined the formation of this network. Drawing and the representation of the territory are used as primary analytical tools, relating the paths to the topography, the hydrographic system, and the division of agricultural land. This layer-by-layer reading makes it possible to identify territorial persistences and to understand the role of paths as a basic structure in the construction of the Baix Camp landscape.

The results show how the network of historical paths constitutes a territorial infrastructure that explains the form and organization of the territory, and one that remains legible today despite the profound transformations brought about by contemporary infrastructure. At the same time, this latent network represents a design opportunity to rethink slow mobility, ecological connectivity, and the territorial identity of the Baix Camp.
